The Strange Beauty of the Ignored
In this series I devote my attention to the small, random things that surround us, honoring their shy, hidden and ephemeral beauty.
We usually rush past them, looking for the overwhelming, sensational look, the convincing, the captivating, the original, finally: the sure applause of our audience.
As an artist, I look in the mirror and feel a little guilty. In order to at least obtain a partial absolution of this capital sin, I present here this modest tribute.
This aesthetic is of course not new in art. But ever new situations, things, random arrangements without exeption, emerge from the farthest corner of the field of vision.
They are worthy of our attention, I think.
